Solitude, Morning & a Mango
Sleepy eyed, I begrudgingly made my way to the kitchen from 'the other room' in my studio apt. It was - WAIT, LOOK AT THAT! Ok, it was just a mango in a bowl BUT the light was shimmering on it, dancing across it and the background wall had two different aspects: Subdued melting into luminous. AND, AND my Ikea variable light square was, for a few short seconds, causing a ravishing red/red-violet reflection on the side of the mango bowl and changing the mango's top into an incredible rust color. I ran to my 'everything' room and plucked my Song a6000. I had just a few minutes or less before the light vaporized. I HAD TO GET THIS SHOT. I took 25 frames, may be 35, trying to catch the exact second the light square, leaning against the microwave side, flashed that magnificent red. Too quickly, the magic light was gone forever. Of all the frames I captured, there was only 1 that stole the show - and here IT IS!! The world is SO Beautiful - Steve
